Ink adhesion promoter for solvent based inks

Zirconium Propionate (ZPP) is used as an adhesion promoter in flexographic and gravure printing inks to improve the adhesion, heat and scrub resistance to difficult substrates used in flexible packaging such as polypropylene, polyethylene, polyester and aluminium foils.

Zirconium Propionate (ZPP) is a white free flowing powder with an odour of propionic acid.
It is soluble in ethanol, ethyl acetate and isopropanol.  It is insoluble in water.
