Zirconium Acetate (ZAC) is used in a wide range of applications including zirconium/wax emulsions for waterproofing, aqueous polymer emulsions, low smoke flame retardants for wool, refactory binders, catalysis and many more.
Zirconium Acetate (ZAC) is a clear, colourless, mildly acidic solution containing approximately 22% ZrO2. It is believed to contain neutral hydroxy-bridged zirconium species.
Typical Chemical Analayis:
ZrO2 + HfO2* 21-23%
CH3COO 17-24%
*HfO2 accounts for approximately 2wt% of this total.
